Shortly after graduating she passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam and earned her credentials. After about a year of working at a low-cost small animal clinic, Heather moved to the Tri-State area (to escape the awful snow) and began working at Advanced Animal Care as a Certified Veterinary Technician and Safety Officer (although she doesn’t know if we love our monthly safety quizzes).
Heather has an affinity for hound dogs and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, daughter, and her fur family. Her typical day off includes boating, hiking, kayaking, or any other outdoor activity the desert will permit.

Jen
Lead Client Service Representative
Jen
“Everyone thinks their pet is the best, and none of them are lying.”
Jennifer was born in California but spent a lot of her childhood living in Arizona where her love of the outdoors began. She collected critters from the neighborhood, always busy outside. Her favorite activity was night swimming during the summer months. Jennifer’s first pet was a Doberman Shepherd mix named Sampson. Jennifer was too little to hook Sampson’s leash to his collar so Sampson would hold the leash in his mouth and walk with Jennifer along the Greenbelt.
Jennifer started her career as a hairdresser and owned her own salon for 13 years. During that time, she made trips to Arizona every chance she got, taking the kids and boat, and heading for the water. When the time was right she shut down her salon and moved to Arizona. Jennifer has greatly enjoyed becoming a part of the Advanced Animal Care team, helping people, and helping animals. Her goal is to be a great team leader.
She enjoys spending time on the water’s edge, hanging out with great friends, and being outside as often as possible (even if it’s to pick up dog poop).
