Dr. Erika Cartwright Owner and Veterinarian
“There is a lot of diversity with a small animal practice that enables me to do what I love, getting to know my patients, and being a part of their lives.”
Dr. Cartwright grew up on the southern coast of Oregon and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 2004 and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State in 2008. Shortly after, she moved to Arizona with her husband Joe and practiced as a mixed animal veterinarian in Kingman. In July 2012, Dr. Cartwright opened Advanced Animal Care in Fort Mohave.
She has advanced training in veterinary dentistry and jaw fracture repair. She is also one of the only veterinarians in the area that performs Cruciate Ligament Repair Surgery.
Dr. Cartwright shares her home with her husband Joe, their two kids, cats Cheese and Crackers, and her dog, Bernice. She enjoys CrossFit and being involved in her children’s football and cheer activities. She can also fit her whole fist in her mouth!
Jenn Galvin Owner and Administrator
“I have been an animal advocate my entire life and I am proud to offer the kind of care to our patients that I demand for my own pets.”
Jenn started in the veterinary field as a kennel assistant in 1999 and has since worked as a receptionist, technician, office manager, and now owner and practice manager. While working in several different veterinary hospitals, she attended Mohave Community College and Northern Arizona University to obtain her business degree. She has a passion for staff development, client education, and marketing.
Jenn enjoys spending time with her amazing husband Jesse, and their cats and dogs. She is also a founding member of the Veterinary Group Uncharted and enjoys art, the outdoors, and is a nerd at heart.
Dr. Guinn Veterinarian
“I truly enjoy being the voice for pets. When was the last time someone was so overjoyed to see you that they literally ran to see you? Pets are the best!”
Dr. Guinn has an extensive background in emergency care and was an ER veterinarian for over twenty years. She spent most of her life in California but took many vacations to our area while living there. When Dr. Guinn decided she wanted to transition to general practice, she knew she wanted to be in the desert near the Colorado River, so our area was the perfect fit!
She loves all things outdoors, including boating, off-roading, kayaking, camping, and motorcycle riding. She spends her spare time with her army of Schipperkes, friends, and family.
Dr. Hopkins Veterinarian
Dr. Sarina Hopkins, DVM is is a recent graduate from Oregon State University of Veterinary Medicine who also obtained a Bachelor's from the University of Arizona. Since graduating, Sarina is excited to be back in the warmth of her home state and also to join the Advanced Animal Care team.
Sarina has a great love for horses, dogs, cats, and the special connections she made with pets that lead her to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Linus and Lucy Clinic Cats
Linus joined the Advanced Animal Care team in June of 2021 and Lucy followed soon after in December. They bring so much joy to the staff and are there for comfort and snuggles when anyone needs them. Linus enjoys climbing up as high as he can, taking naps, and sneaking into cages after patients have left them. Lucy loves walking on keyboards, stealing food, and meowing loudly.
