Jeanna has a true passion for pet care. She has been working in the animal industry for many years and has dedicated her career to being an advocate for pets.
“Pets are the best! They know how to live in the moment. What’s not to love about them!”
Jeanna traveled to Texas after a natural disaster to help the animals that needed her. She is a nutritional advocate and is Fear Free Certified. Jeanna enjoys space travel, tattoos, Shark Week, outdoor adventures with her dogs, and DIY projects.
Heather grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she earned her Associates of Applied Science by completing the Veterinary Technology program in 2013. Shortly after graduating she passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam and earned her credentials. After about a year of working at a low-cost small animal clinic Heather moved to the Tri-State area (to escape the awful snow) and began working at Advanced Animal Care as a Certified Veterinary Technician and Safety Officer (although she doesn’t know if we love our monthly safety quizzes).
“My passion is not just caring for each pet, but to support and educate each owner that is attached to that pet. I couldn’t imagine myself in any other career.” Heather has an affinity for hound dogs and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, daughter, and her fur family. Her typical day off includes boating, hiking, kayaking or any other outdoor activity the desert will permit.
Nicole grew up in California with her family and has had a strong connection and love for animals for as long as she can remember. She would bring home all sorts of animals in need whether they were hurt, hungry, lost or in need of love. She moved to Fort Mohave in 2003 where she graduated high school. She has been in the veterinary field since 2011 and strives to learn more about the health and care of animals every day so she can make a difference in their lives.
“Veterinary medicine is hard but so rewarding! After over a decade of helping animals I still learn things daily and am putting fourth my best abilities to be a great technician and advocate for pet’s needs. I treasure the long term relationships I have developed with our clients!”
Outside of work you can find Nicole spending time at home with her pets Nellie, Kuna, and Zeus and her husband Jake. She also enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and game night with a group of friends.
Amy has been in the veterinary field for over 20 years and serves as not only a Technician, but also is a Pet Chaplain, Massage Therapist, and is currently obtaining her certificate in Pet Loss.
“I believe in life long learning no matter what the subject is, but vet-med is the best!”
You can find Amy reading, listening to music, and obsessing over cats in her spare time. She shares her home with her daughter who is an amazing student and fellow animal lover.
Lisa was born and raised in Shafter California and comes from a family of ranchers. Her love of pets and livestock started early and only grew as the years went on. She was involved in 4-H and FFA through her teenage years and always wanted a career involving animals. Before starting her veterinary career she spent time raising two boys and working in sales. In 2014 Lisa decided to start her love affair with horses up again and got into barrel racing. The more time she spent with her animals the more she wanted to get out of sales and work with animals full time. She started working for Advanced Animal Care in 2017 and is currently enrolled in an Accredited Veterinary Technician Program to obtain her certification.
“Look at me! I’m doing what I love to do, going back to school, and living my childhood dream.”
Lisa enjoys spending time with her pets and horses and is great at making people laugh. She also does many of the maintenance jobs here at AAC!
