Heather grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she earned her Associates of Applied Science by completing the Veterinary Technology program in 2013. Shortly after graduating she passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam and earned her credentials. After about a year of working at a low-cost small animal clinic Heather moved to the Tri-State area (to escape the awful snow) and began working at Advanced Animal Care as a Certified Veterinary Technician and Safety Officer (although she doesn’t know if we love our monthly safety quizzes).
“My passion is not just caring for each pet, but to support and educate each owner that is attached to that pet. I couldn’t imagine myself in any other career.” Heather has an affinity for hound dogs and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, daughter, and her fur family. Her typical day off includes boating, hiking, kayaking or any other outdoor activity the desert will permit.

Lisa H.
Technician
Lisa's Bio
Lisa was born and raised in Shafter California and comes from a family of ranchers. Her love of pets and livestock started early and only grew as the years went on. She was involved in 4-H and FFA through her teenage years and always wanted a career involving animals. Before starting her veterinary career she spent time raising two boys and working in sales. In 2014 Lisa decided to start her love affair with horses up again and got into barrel racing. The more time she spent with her animals the more she wanted to get out of sales and work with animals full time. She started working for Advanced Animal Care in 2017 and is currently enrolled in an Accredited Veterinary Technician Program to obtain her certification.
“Look at me! I’m doing what I love to do, going back to school, and living my childhood dream.”
Lisa enjoys spending time with her pets and horses and is great at making people laugh. She also does many of the maintenance jobs here at AAC!
